Welcome to the So Many Styles Forum
I’m Furious Styles, the captain of this space and I’m a very complex man, with numerous thoughts and various interests that span the gamut of human experience. Basically, I have So Many Styles as evidenced by my alter ego, DJ Styles. I am blessed to be a Sagitarius Sun Sign with a Scorpio ascendant. Inquistive, curious, restless, friendly, jovial, yet venomous when provoked. I’m a natural philosopher with an old soul, somewhat optimistic, yet a bit jaded and cynical.
The many hats I’ve worn in my life include, Christian, Black Man, DJ, Activist, Son, Student, Father, Teacher, Baby Daddy, Lover, Hip Hopper, Truth Seeker, 30-Something Gen-Xer, Cal Bear, Oaklander, Sports Fan, Webmaster, Banker, Stock Broker, and now Writer. I didn’t include O.G. which youngters have been getting lately. This site will include reflections on all those things and more.
As a DJ, I plan to feature reviews of artists, albums, and music I generally enjoy. Maybe I will interview some of the many talented artists I constantly run across out here in the Bay. I also plan to write reviews of shows and movies that I partake in. I have always wanted to be the “Ghetto Siskel & Ebert,” so I’ll take a stab at it.
